From the Forest to Farming

Hey Fight Family,

This season has been a turning point for the Olangama community.

Our friend and leader, Kabona, recently traveled to Kenya to study advanced farming techniques. He immersed himself in learning how to grow food more efficiently, care for the soil, and build systems that can feed families for years to come.

Now, he's back home, sharing what he learned with his family and neighbors. And the results are inspiring. Please take a moment to watch the video about his journey and the joy it brings him to bring back new knowledge for his family and community.

Meet Kabona

We're watching the leaders of Olangama embrace sustainable farming as more than just a way to put food on the table. They're using it to claim their independence, strengthen their community, and create security for future generations.

It is one thing to provide land for people, but as hunter-gatherers, long-term sustainable agriculture wasn't part of daily life. In our mission, helping our people overcome that knowledge gap is part of the solution. This shift means not only a reliable food supply but also the creation of sellable goods that can sustain families and fuel economic growth in Olangama for generations to come.

At Fight for the Forgotten, it's our mission to work with the Batwa and commmunity— to create lives they are proud of, and to pass that strength on to their children and grandchildren.

Your support is helping make this shift possible. Every seed planted, every lesson learned, is a step toward lasting freedom.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
