Karambi Health Center’s First Baby
In March, the newly opened Karambi Community Health Center welcomed its very first baby. With doctors and nurses ready, and the newly installed infant radiant warmer in place, the baby was ushered into the world surrounded by love, in a health center fully equipped to support both mother and child.
His first cry echoed through the walls, bringing happiness to everyone present at the time of birth. Today, both mother and baby are healthy as he turns two months old.
He was the first of many. Since then, more babies have been born at Karambi, given the improved maternal healthcare for mothers in the community.
Karambi’s 2nd Graduation
May was a month of celebration as we graduated the second vocational skills cohort at Karambi. Students from hairdressing, barbering, and tailoring courses, dressed in their graduation gowns and caps, danced joyfully as families ululated in victory.
Outstanding learners were rewarded with start‑up items and equipment to launch their businesses. The Karambi community and local leaders came together to honor the graduates. We wish the new graduates every success in their future endeavors.
