The Business Side of the Batwa

The Business Side of the Batwa

As life unfolds for the Batwa community, their determination to thrive grows stronger. Every day, they are taking bold steps to build a better future for themselves, their children, and the community as a whole. Many had long dreamed of starting their own businesses, and we were glad to support these dreams with seed funding, enabling them to carry their businesses forward independently.

Today, it is inspiring to witness the entrepreneurial spirit of Kamanya who's running a small restaurant. Some community members formed a group to operate a brick-laying enterprise, while others have moved beyond subsistence farming into commercial agriculture, with the goal of earning income to ensure their children can attend school.

Onward and upward for the Batwa community!

Staff Accommodation Fully Constructed

During the construction of the Karambi Community Hub and Health Center last year, we identified a critical need for staff accommodation. Our priority was to ensure that the people of Karambi have timely access to FFTF staff.

When urgent healthcare needs arise, especially in the middle of the night, medical personnel must be nearby to respond quickly and effectively.

By living within the community, our staff can provide faster care, build stronger relationships, and collaborate more closely with the people, thus achieving even greater impact together.

The housing units are now fully constructed and painted, and our staff will be moving in very soon. Thank you for your support in making this milestone possible.

Your Support Fuels Our Mission

Every brick laid, every life touched, and every dream realized is because of YOU. Thank you for believing in this mission, for standing alongside us, and for being the reason that hope is spreading in Olangama.

To keep the momentum going, we need your help to hit our 2026 goals. By joining our Monthly Giving Club, you'll be part of sustainable, life-changing progress in this community.

Your kindness and generosity are changing lives every day. Let's continue this journey of putting compassion in action— together.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
